Welcome Shelby Elizabeth Tyndall

Here she is. We finally recieved the referral Friday morning in the mail. When daddy asked her if she wanted to meet her baby sister she was so excited that she couldn't wait for him to open it. Daddy was taking to long. We all sat down and looked at the pictures and the information that comes with it. She is 7 months old. Her birthday is January 22, 2009. Weight is 14lbs, Height is 24". Her chinese name is Yu Yang Chong. She is at Chongren County SWI, Jiangxi Province. Our intended date is not for sure yet. We were told by other couples that have traveled to expect that information to come next week. We can't wait to hold her. God has answered many prayers through this for the last 3 1/2 years. When we first started the process we did not know that He also had another daughter planned for us which is Sofia. Then we waited for Shelby. During this we had people lined up to go in case. Well He gave us that answer. We don't have to wonder anymore.

The Second Call

I recieved a call from Martha today and she told me that she had talked to them in California. She is approximately 7 months old, January 22, 2009, name is Yugang Chong, providence is Jaiangxi, orphanage is Chongren. Martha asked them if she was cute or ugly. They told her that she is adorable. We will be recieving our referral in the morning before 11:00 am.
Martha is so funny she told me that she can't wait to see her. So she has asked me to meet her at work around lunch time so that she can see the picture. Will post the picture tomorrow.

The Call

Today, I went into work for a meeting that lasted all morning and after that I went online to see if there were anymore postings for first calls. I found one and forward that to Martha. She called me and said that she called California and the referrals were suppose come in the afternoon. She called me later and said that she had not heard anything yet. 20 minutes later she called and told me that they were laying on someone's desk. She said that we will have our referral Thursday. We can't wait. We have been holding back the excitement until tonight. Sitting here writting this I am beginning to realize what this really means and I am having a hard time holding back the tears. We are soon going to be a family of four. God has answered so many prayers today and we must thank him and give him the glory. Thanks to all who have prayed, waited and have are still supporting us. Please keep on praying because this is the beginning of a long awaited journey to bring Shelby home. It was also you all who also prayed for us when we were adopting Sofia and your prayers helped bring her home.

Vacation

Now to talk about Sofia and the vacation. Sofia had a good time. We went to Riverview Hotel in New Symrna Beach, FL. She just had a ball. We spent most of the time at the pool and everytime we left and went to go eat somewhere as soon as we got back she wanted to go to the pool. We stay on the third floor and in the room that faces the intracoastal and you can see the draw bridge and watch the boats go by. She loves watching that draw bridge go up and down. Everytime she heard the horn (no matter what time it was) she was on the porch watching. She would get so excited when it would go up. The other thing that she enjoyed was breakfast in bed. She loves that. When we came home she wanted to do that for mommy. We stayed there for the weekend and then went and stayed at our beach house for the rest of the week. We spent most of the time at the beach. We have some very close friends who live behind us and we would get together at walk down to the beach and let the kids and parents play. They have a little boy who is exactly 1 year younger then her and if they could have they would have been with each other 24 hours a day if we would let them. They were so cute. We had a good vacation. I needed that week because when we came home I was able to regroup and focus on things that need to be taken care of and prioritize things. I was getting to bogged down with things that I couldn't focus on what to do next. Now that the fog is gone. I am more relaxed and focused on things. Now I just need to remember to relax for the next few weeks and not get stressed out about everything. What I need to do is to remember if it gets done ok if not that is ok to. It will be there when I get home.

Patiently Waiting

Well, while we were on vacation last week. We were told that we could possibly recieve a call. That did not happen with us but some agencies were recieving calls on Friday and calling their families. These are people that were log in on the same date that we were which is March 24, 2006. For some of you who are wondering what that means that is the date that we were approved by China. We got back from vacation and did not hear any news from anyone until 5:00 tonight. One family that is in my group that I will be traveling with recieved their call and will recieve their referral later this week. This is wonderful news. We should be recieving our call tomorrow. We have waited 3 years and 5 months to get the call. We will probably be waiting to travel 1 more month. We shall see anything is possible when God is in control. Sofia has been asking for the last 4 months when she is going to have a baby sister. Well, hopefully come tomorrow we will be able to tell her that she is going to be here very soon. I can't wait to see Sofia's face when we get the picture. I showed her some of the babies pictures that have already been posted. She was so excited. She asked me if Shelby will look like them and I told her yes. When I went to show her another one she said is that her. It was so funny the way she said it she got so excited. Time will quickly pass by now. I have so much to get ready. But, I have already got Shelby's bag packed and ready. It is me getting my stuff together and also finishing up some things that need to be done before I go. Just pray for us throughtout this whole time of preparing, travel and when we get home.
